プリインストールされていないau機種や他キャリア機種（iアプリ・ 「中村屋」での発売は、1927年の「天下一品 支那饅頭」が最初である。 ホールディングス、キリンビバレッジ、サンリオピューロランドの3社の思惑が一致したことにより実現した、日本初となるハローキティやその家族がデザインされた「ハローキティ自動販売機コーナー」が山陽自動車道の三木サービスエリア（上り線）に設置された（冒頭画像を参照）。
